congrats for those watcching the dub. your finally just about out of dressrosa, and heading to the zou arc . if funi keep this pace up your heading for whole cake island sometime in 2022.

Orion • 2 years ago

Hearing OP arc names before seeing them is such a trip.

One day sub watchers are going to tell me about the sauerkraut screamer 69 arc and I'll just shrug it off

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

Episode 746 marks the end of this arc...779 marks the end of Zou, 783 Marks the beginning of Whole Cake Island Arc with it ending after the world confernce that's coming up. Since Oda doesn't control the anime there will include some side arc/non cannon episodes like the sub.

If they follow the previous release schedule before the long break, we should see somewhere between 24-42 episode a year, given 52 weeks in a year, minus all the holidays and breaks. We may actually see it late 2022 if not early 2023. Then again this is just my thought process and not written in stone anywheres so don't take my word for it.

Kami_Whis • 2 years ago

Judging by yer comment, that's been 2 months, I've noticed 14 fresh episodes, so in every 2 months like 14 or smth!? Which means 84 for an entire year or smth, so the next batch is gonna be wut by the end of december or early january 2022?!?

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

I don't know the release schedule ... Ask Funi, it's their contract.

Link2346 • 2 years ago

What the heck are you talking about? The dub releases over a 100 episodes every year

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

I was talking about previous release schedules before the almost 3 year gap we had between dub episodes. Before the break we had an average of 24-42 episodes a year, usually every three months there would be 12-13 new episodes.

Sub on the other hand releases a new episode every week unless there is a holiday or some event taking place in Japan like the Olympics or something like that.

I also mentioned which episode marks the end of an arc or the start of it, and by my guesstimation I made a guess as to when we would see the beginning of Whole Cake Island Arc.

I can explain it a hundred different ways... so what did you not understand?

Link2346 • 2 years ago

Oh I see, the dub release schedule has actually changed since it resumed, 13-14 episodes release every 1-2 months, cus they finished the entire Dressrosa arc in 9 months

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

Almost lol... still 14 episodes to go I think.

Link2346 • 2 years ago

The last 14 episodes for Dressrosa has released actually, since October 5th, it's just taking time to release here

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

Oh? I didn't know, thanks for letting me know gonna go watch'em.

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

You don't happen to know where one can watch them? Funi and Crunchyoll still only have subbed.

hi yow,, just here to say that, we are more than just whole cake island,,,, we are in WANO Arc ,,,, dub is speeding up

GengarHaunts • 1 year ago

yea they're trying to get it caught up so they can get on a simildub style release. i'd say by years end they may be caught up

Stand User • 1 year ago

i will they will......

Orion • 2 years ago

One piece dub this year be like "hiatuses? Slow? im fast as fuck boyyyyy"

Alec Charles Erbland • 2 years ago

Earlier than that, Zou should only take two batches to dub and Whole Cake starts shortly afterwards if I remember right (besides the couple two to three episode filler arcs in between)

GengarHaunts • 2 years ago

i forgot how short zoa was. yea i can see them doing the pre zoa filler, zoa, and rookie arcs all together in no time. just gives the fans time to get ready for all the singing coming in whole cake.

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

Whole Cake Island... sorta gives me an acid trip vibes...

JasonADHD1973 • 2 years ago

YES finally they released the new dubbed episodes! It's a good day for all us dub luver's out there!!!

GengarHaunts • 2 years ago

1 step closer to zoa arc, and then you got whole cake island which thankfully is less than rosa, but wano will be another big beast.

LORDXTK#1 • 2 years ago

Nigga I skipped dubbed ages ago ima at 986 now XD

JasonADHD1973 • 2 years ago

man I've been diggin on one piece from the jump off ever since watching episode #1 i'll give props for being able to follow the subbed anime series! but as for me even though it kills me to wait for so long! i'm a dubbed anime only fan i just can not follow the story/adventure that is one piece the same way reading subtitles but hey that's just me lol

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

I like to think of it this way... where their is a will there is a way. If you can't then you're haki isn't strong enough. ;p Jokes aside, it took me 120 episodes before I got used to subbed... but that was way back during the thriller bark arc.

So by the time I caught up to the subbed they were just releasing the start of Dressrossa. I went onto the manga at that point only coming to the subbed to watch certain episodes, then waited for them to release the entire arc in english dubbed before watching...

After that almost 3 year gap of no new episodes after fish man island... they sudden started releasing again and at a much greater speed than before. It was nice spending the last year watching the last three arcs in one go...

JasonADHD1973 • 2 years ago

ooh ok I totes understand... OMG man wasn't thriller bark just sooo frickin dope! oh yea and impel down was crazy AF! I haven't finished watching doe flamingo IDK but it's seems to me like the story line/episodes aren't as deep as before leaving fish man island ?

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

Brook and Laboon's back story are about the only two parts of Thriller Bark that I liked. Well that and Zoro's sacrifice... As for Gecko Moria I found him annoying... even worse than Ceaser.

Doffy's arc is deep, but perhaps because it doesn't directly involve one of the straw-hats it doesn't seem as deep as the other arcs. Like fishman Island, Nami was tormented by fishmen, yet she saw just how those same fishmen were tormented and treated worse than dirt on Sabody Island. While in this arc, we see Law's history... cruel and terrible as it is, I did fine the memories and back story to be sorta glossed over and over shadowed by other events during this arc.

No more dub for Daddy?

JasonADHD1973 • 2 years ago

how long is it between each batch of the new dubbed episodes? i'm just thankful theirs enough people working to make dub's even happen!

Orion • 2 years ago

It's used to be like every 3 months about. Basically one a week but instead releasing 12 at once. They go on hiatus sometimes though, the last one being longest at 2.5 years.

Thankfully they've done a lot of releases this year which made up some of that.

JasonADHD1973 • 2 years ago

that sound on point, and yes your right they have been releasing a lot of new dubbed anime series as of lately... and some pretty dope ass shows!

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

I think most of the VA's are working from how, with a global pandemic happening it's no wonder they've started releasing almost 12 episode on average every 45 days or so give or take a day.

Orion • 2 years ago

Idk what your talking about. 12 episodes like every 45 days is extremely fast. That's like 2 episodes a week.

Idk why the pandemic of all times is when they decided to go warp speed with the dub

Lucifer Black • 2 years ago

I was just stating my opinion, rather than heading to a studio to record their lines, working from home seems logical and easier. I'm not saying this is true, hell it probably isn't.

As for my comment about the global pandemic, well I don't really follow the news everyday but lots of people are using it as an excuse to go crazy...

From my point of view, dropping prices for entertainment and releasing new episodes of different series, is a means to try and distract people from doing something bad. I'm not saying this is legit lol just my opinion on the matter.

GengarHaunts • 2 years ago

before the global virus it was averaging about i want to say 4 - 5 releases a year, but they took a big break ( which most likely was to get dressrosa fully dubbed given it's length), and it's been releasing sooner. just wait till they reach whole cake island, and wano. oh boy those will be a dozy for dub fans to wait on.

Bloodyraven54 • 1 year ago

this part felt way more natural then the sub

What? You mean Russian? No she was in a flashback and she actually died already. Senor Pink said as much when he was thinking while fighting Franky.
